Why is the company called The North Face®?

In the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most challenging route to climb. Our founders thought this name reflected our mission and dedication to the extreme.

What does The North Face® logo represent?

The North Face® logo was inspired by the Half Dome in Yosemite, revered as one of the greatest big walls in the world. Our logo was created as our interpretation of this great wall.

Where do you ship from?

All goods are shipped out from our warehouse based in Sint-Niklaas/Belgium.

Which carrier will deliver my order?

Standard shipping will be handled by GLS for United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man is Parcel Force (Partner of GLS).
Express shipping will be handled by UPS.

Where do you ship?

Orders can currently be shipped to the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man. At this time, it is not possible to ship to the Channel Islands.

Can I ship my order to someone else or to a different address?

Yes, orders can be shipped to an address which is different from the billing address. After you enter your billing address during checkout, you’ll have the option to enter a new shipping address.

How long will my order take to arrive including processing and shipping?

We make the best effort to process orders within one working day. Please reference the chart below for an estimate on shipping times.

. Standard Shipping: 2-4 working days (estimated arrival)

. Express Shipping: 24-48 hours (estimated arrival)

Deliveries are made during normal business hours, Monday to Friday.
Cut off times for same day delivery are 11:00 AM for standard shipping and 12:00 PM for express shipping. Orders placed after this time will be delivered within two working days. Orders placed on Friday before 12:00 PM will be delivered on the following working day.
Please note that the above cut off times are provided as guidelines only and count from when you receive the e-mail order confirmation.
Although it is our goal to deliver within the above mentioned lead times, delivery dates are not guaranteed as shipments are handled by third parties.
Please note that orders cannot be delivered to PO Boxes.

Can I change shipping address once my order has been submitted?

We make our best effort to process orders within one working day and therefore are unable to change the shipping address once your order has reached us.

How are delivery charges determined?

Delivery charges apply to your order based on the value of your order and shipping method:

. Standard Delivery
Up to £ 100     : £ 5
Over £ 100    : free of charge
. Express Delivery
Fixed rate    : £ 14,5

Delivery charges are inclusive of VAT and include all costs related to the shipping of your order to the requested address.
Taxes and duties are calculated according to your shipping destination and itemized in the checkout page and on the Order Confirmation.

How do I know when my order ships and how can I track it?

When your order ships, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a link to your order. Your order will be updated with your tracking number(s) and you can either click on the tracking number(s) themselves or enter them into the preferred carrier’s website to follow along with your order from our warehouse to your destination. We highly recommend keeping the e-mail with the shipment and order details until you receive your goods. Please contact our Customer Service department if you lose the email and need to track your order.

How will Parcel Force deliver my order?

The courier will try to deliver the parcel at your destination as the first attempt. In case you are not present, you will be left a notification card stating that the parcel has been delivered to your neighbour who will need to sign on your behalf. In case your neighbour is not there, the parcel will be delivered to the nearest post office. Should there not be a local post office, you will be left a notification card stating that the courier will attempt a second delivery the day after. In case you are not met during the second attempt as well, the parcel will be returned to the carrier’s depot and kept for 15 days. You will need to contact the carrier for a third delivery.

Can I use a debit card in The North Face® UK Online Store?

Yes, we accept debit cards such as Solo and Maestro.

Can you tell me more about PayPal payments?

If you are paying by PayPal you will be asked to log in to your account with your email address and password to confirm the payment. If you do not have a PayPal account you can still pay with PayPal up to a maximum of 10 times and will be asked to enter your personal data and credit card details.

When is payment charged to my card?

Your credit or debit card will be debited for the total value of your Order at the time we receive it. We will not accept your Order, neither will we supply the Goods to you until your credit or debit card issuer has authorised the use of your card for payment of the Goods ordered.

How secure is it to use my credit/debit card with online payments?

All credit and debit card transactions on this Website are processed by “GLOBAL COLLECT INTERNATIONAL PAYMENT SERVICES”, a secure online gateway that will be responsible for holding and automated handling information related to your payment details in a secure setting.

Can I buy Gift Cards or eGift Cards in The North Face® UK Online Store?

In The North Face® UK Online Store you can purchase eGift Cards (Electronic gift cards) and send them to friends and family via e-mail.

Does the eGift Card have an expiry date?

The North Face® eGift Cards expire after 12 months if not used and cannot be reactivated after expiration.

Where can I use my eGift Card and how does it work?

Your eGift Card may only be used in the online store where it was purchased.
To use your eGift card, from within the Shopping Cart just enter the eGift Card Code in the “Enter Gift Card Code” field and click “Add Gift Card”. Your eGift Card’s value will be deducted from the total order. If you do not spend all of your eGift Card, the balance will remain and may be used for your next order.

Where can I view my eGift Card balance?

Registered customers can check the balance of their eGift Cards whenever they like in “My Account”. Non-registered customers can check the balance of their eGift Cards in their Shopping Cart by clicking on “Check eGift Card status and balance.”

Can I redeem my eGift Card to My Account?

If you are a registered customer you can redeem the balance of your eGift Card to your account and use it at a later time.

Can I get a gift box with my order?

The North Face® online store offers gift boxes on apparel garments at a small charge. If you request a gift box, items will be beautifully presented and shipped in our red logo 100% recycled gift-ready box. The box can be re-used to store your favourite CDs, books or other special belongings.
At this time, gift boxes are not available for footwear and equipment (i.e., tents, sleeping bags, packs) categories.

How do I sign in to The North Face® UK Online Store?

If you are a new customer, click on the 'Login' link on the top of the screen and create an account by following the instructions provided. If you are a returning customer, click on the 'Login' link located on the top of the screen and enter your email address and password.

How do I change my password?

Sign in to the The North Face® UK Online Store, and click on the 'My Account' link located at the top of the screen.  Once you're in the 'My Account' section, you will be able to change your password.

How do I update my account information, including changes to my home/email address?

Sign in to The North Face® UK Online Store, and click on the 'My Account' link located at the top of the screen.  Once you're in the My Account section, you will be able to update your billing and shipping information.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

In the 'My Account' page click on "I forgot my password" underneath the ‘Login’ button.  This will open a new window where you'll be asked for your email address.  Enter your email address, and we'll send you a new temporary password that you can change afterwards in the “My Account” section.
