The premier full-body, unisex suit for climbing 8,000-metre peaks, The North Face Himalayan Suit helps athletes get to the top of the world. Technically engineered from Gore Windstopper® Insulation shell for windproof protection and two-layer HyVent™ for waterproof breathability, the suit is packed with 800 fill goose down in the body and 700 fill in the lower legs and arms. The cutting-edge, dual-density Climashield™ Neo in the back panel enhances the fill. A fully adjustable snorkel hood gives unbeatable head protection, and internal adjustable suspenders and Velcro® adjustable waist and cuffs make for a secure fit. Pockets include secure internal space for a radio and water bottles, and a slew of extra features are designed with exceptional performance in mind to make life a little bit easier in the death zone. Climashield™ Neo

Climashield™ Neo utilises two deniers of fiber in one continuous filament. Larger fibers maintain loft and compaction resiliency, while the smaller fibers have a softer feel and the best heat-trapping characteristics. Neo filament is less inclined to absorb water and actually facilitates vapour transportation away from the sleeper and out through the shell fabric.

Goose Down Fills

Using only the highest quality Hungarian goose down in all of our products, each lot of down is thoroughly tested at three stages of production for loftiness, moisture resistance and ability to regain loft after compression. The fill power of goose down is an indicator of two important features: warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility; both critical to retain warmth and furnish comfort. 900 Fill Down: Highest quality, lightest, most compressible down commercially available and exclusive to The North Face. One ounce of this down fills a volume of 900 cubic inches - the highest weight to volume down available.

Windstopper®

The specially engineered Gore Windstopper® membrane provides wind protection and stabilises the microclimate close to the skin by allowing excess moisture to escape while preventing unwanted moisture from coming back in.
